Mathew is the founder of Hack Your Course AP & IB Tutoring Service, which he established in 2015 after more than 15 years of experience teaching and tutoring at various institutes worldwide. He holds two master’s degrees in biochemical engineering and environmental engineering from UBC, along with a bachelor’s degree in education. In addition, he is a certified teacher. He is dedicated to teaching and tutoring students in math and chemistry at all levels, including AP and IB students. He has a track record of success in preparing students for standardized exams such as SAT, SSAT, and ACT, and coaching them to gain admission to their dream universities. Mathew is actively engaged in all aspects of the company and committed to ensuring the highest quality of education for HYC’s students.

Peter L. has a Ph.D. in Chemistry from MIT. He is a retired professor whose love of teaching made him choose our institute. He is working with Hack Your Course full time and has many satisfied students. He teaches general chemistry, IB SL Chemistry, IB HL Chemistry, and AP Chemistry. He is available for online and in-home tutoring.
Uko I. has a master’s in mathematics, followed by another one from SFU! He has been with us for a long time, and he has been teaching mainly IB and AP students. He has had several IB students from Mulgrave and Sir Winston Churchill Secondary IB Schools; he also had a few clients from Collingwood. He also teaches advanced math to university students at SFU. He can tutor Calculus, Pre-calculus, Math IB SL, Math IB HL, FMHL and mathematics studies plus all AP (AB/BC). He also helps students with their Internal Assessment and Extended Essays.
With a master’s degree in civil engineering, Zara chose the path of full-time tutoring, driven by her passion for teaching. She has extensive experience guiding students from the IB, AP, and various standard curricula across different provinces and states. Throughout her tenure with us, she has successfully mentored over 30 students, most of whom are IB students, all expressing satisfaction and appreciation for her dedication and expertise.
Holding a Bachelor of Science and an honors degree from the University of Guelph, Sophia is well-educated and deeply familiar with the IB curriculum, having been both an MYP and DP student herself. Impressively, she graduated with a score of 41 and a commendable 7 in Bio HL. Sophia has mentored dozens of IB students as our dedicated biology tutor under our banner. The results speak for themselves — every single one of them has been exceptionally satisfied with her guidance and expertise.
Marzi R. has a Master’s degree in Mathematics from Singapore and has been teaching and tutoring math at schools and institutes since 2010! She is working exclusively with HYC and all the feedback on her work has been very positive. She prefers online tutoring with occasional in-person classes. She teaches math and calculus for all levels, including IB (SL/HL/FMHL) and AP (AB/BC).

Zain combines his solid academic foundation with a natural talent for teaching. As an alumnus of the IB program, where he secured a commendable 7 in both HL Physics and HL Math, he intimately understands his students’ challenges. With a BASc in Engineering Science from the University of Toronto and a specialization in aerospace engineering, he’s well-positioned to guide students through intricate subjects. He has been tutoring AP and IB physics and math since 2014 across multiple platforms. His expertise spans AP courses and IB curriculum, covering physics and mathematics. Beyond his academic prowess, Zain’s polite demeanor endears him to students and parents alike, resulting in a 100% satisfaction rate for those who have had the privilege to learn from him.
Kritika boasts an impressive educational background with an Honours Bachelor’s and a Master of Science from McMaster University. Currently, she’s on her journey towards obtaining a Ph.D. As an IB alumnus, Kritika not only understands the rigor of the program but also personally excelled in it with a remarkable score of 40. Collaborating with us for approximately three years, she has consistently been met with positive feedback from her students.
